My best friend and I used to have journal picnics. We’d hit the corner market and get a bunch of food, then spend the day just eating and writing together. We’d make up prompts and then have fun seeing how we each interpreted it, we’d pass our notebooks back and forth and write messages to each other to be read later. It doesn’t have to be so solitary and serious all the time! Loved this post.

Journaling is good for the soul! I've done it all my life but in recent years have expanded my stack of journals that all have different purposes: a health one, an art one, a junk journal/diary one and morning pages, that all feels ridiculous to list off but they all came about naturally.

The thing I love most about my messy writing journals are coloured pens! I'm addicted to writing with a forest green gel pen and I rebuy the same one over and over!
